Camayah Visuals is a photography and video studio in Cambridge, MA, run by David and Iris Matthews. We work with the nonprofits, cultural institutions, and civic organizations shaping Greater Boston. We create event photography, interviews, brand campaigns, and websites that show what their work looks like and why it matters.
A gala may happen once a year. A public art project may unfold over several weeks. A program can continue throughout the year. Each one has people, milestones, and moments that may never happen the same way again.
Before coverage begins, we learn what matters, who needs to be documented, what cannot be missed, and how your team expects to use the photography and video afterward. By the time we arrive, we already know what we are looking for.
David was born and raised in Cambridge. He and Iris ran On The Spot Computer Repairs for fifteen years before starting Camayah Visuals.
Fifteen years in that business taught us how to run a business. We learned how to sit with a client, figure out what they actually need, and deliver it when we said we would.
Those are the same skills we bring to every organization we work with today. We understand that every room has people who matter, schedules that cannot stop for a camera, and moments that may only happen once.
Our work has supported the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Arts, Cambridge Community Center, Central Square BID, Cambridge Local First, Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House, Street Theory Collective, Student Achievement Partners, Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, and other organizations across Greater Boston.
The photography and video we create continues working after the assignment, across websites, reports, press, presentations, campaigns, social media, and organizational archives.
Most organizations do not have just one moment worth documenting. They have programs, events, leadership, milestones, people, and projects happening throughout the year.
